Ministry Description
CBMC Los Angeles is looking for a Youth Director with a missions mindset, who is passionate about students. Our church has 50+ students who are children of Hong Kong immigrants. Many of them live in the San Gabriel Valley, spanning 6+ school districts.

About CBMC
We are a non-denominational evangelical church with English, Cantonese and Mandarin congregations. Our English congregation is multi-generational consisting of students, children, young adults, adults of different age groups.

Job Description
·               Aid in the coordination of Sunday youth service and occasionally preach.
·               Participate in leading current youth programs:, fellowship meetings, leadership training, retreats, outreach, and short term mission trips
·               Aid in equipping 11 current volunteers while continuing to recruit new volunteers
·               Build relationships with parents and students
·               Collaborate with the youth pastor and report to the English Pastor
·               Collaborate with senior pastor, pastoral staff, and other congregations
·               Hold regular office hours for availability, approximately 15 hours per week
·               Perform any other tasks to further the mission of CBMC

Qualifications
·               Maintain team chemistry with and be submissive to elders and pastors (Eph 5:20)
·               Speak fluent English, without an accent
·               Able to preach effectively to 6th-12th grade students
·               Maintain a consistent walk with God and competently teach His Word (1 Tim 3:2)
·               Love students and initiate relationships with all (1 Cor 13:1)
·               Willingness to understand and evangelize in a bi-cultural Chinese context (1 Cor 9:22)
·               Commit softly to working at CBMC approximately 1 year
