Lead Pastor at Chapel in the Pines
Twain Harte, CA
About the job
About the Church:
Chapel in the Pines is a non-denominational church, nestled in the beautiful small town of Twain Harte, California – located in the Sierra foothills. The multigenerational congregation displays a great spectrum of young families to senior adults. Engaging Bible teaching, authentic vibrant worship, and strong community have been core values of this charismatic congregation. The people of Chapel in the Pines come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and Christian experiences, but tend to lean toward the more charismatic side of things. There is a strong tradition of church involvement among the laity at Chapel in the Pines and congregational involvement is higher than the average church, with willing servants who love to see God at work.
Financially, the church is in good standing with funds to invest in new ministry efforts. While in the past, the church has swelled in some seasons of ministry to several hundreds. Chapel in the Pines has experienced some decline in the last couple years and current Sunday attendance runs about 130, with much potential for growth.
Chapel in the Pines is an elder-led church, with the pastor leading the charge. We also have an active team of deacons. Chapel in the Pines has a solid track record of caring for our pastors well and have had just four lead pastors in our 80-year history. Our desire is to work as a team with a collaborative, strategic and Spirit-filled leader.
