CCO Campus Ministry Staff are employees of the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), not the schools, universities, and/or church partners they serve with.

This full-time position will focus on reaching the student-athletes of the University of Pittsburgh. - joining the many CCO staff and volunteers, who continue to reach almost 20,000 undergraduate students.

CCO staff call college students to serve Jesus Christ with their entire lives. We do this by:

1. Sharing the Gospel with students and developing passionate disciples of Jesus Christ.

2. Serving together with the church and inviting students into the lives of local congregations.

3. Giving students a vision for serving Jesus Christ in their studies, jobs, communities, and families.

Join the work of CCO to connect with students on-campus at the University of Pittsburgh. You will find opportunities to:

--Facilitate inter-campus gatherings of students on campus throughout the week to include prayer, teaching, evangelism, leadership development, and applying Scripture to life in college and beyond.
--Integrate students into the life of the local church through discipleship opportunities and relationships within the church body.
--Disciple and mobilize leaders among students and the local church to live out their faith in service and evangelism.
--Build relationships with student-athletes by attending practices, games, meals with students, etc.
--Be a pastoral presence in the lives of college students

Some key skillsets for this position:

--the ability to teach/lead in front of a large group
--familiarity and interest with multiple sports, including collegiate athlete experience
--displays initiative and can work independently
--able to engage a wide range of audiences among college athletes
--demonstrates self-confidence and maturity to interact with Division 1 athletes, coaches, and administrators
--demonstrates the ability to encourage and grow others
--able to work collaboratively with others

CCO partnership positions use a shared funding model. Partnership institutions contribute a portion towards salary and total employment costs and CCO staff people are responsible to raise support for the remainder. This amount varies based on partnership and salary needs.
