The Youth Coach is responsible for delivering an eight hour, highly interactive, evidence based curriculum to underserved teens age 12-19 on the topic of healthy relationships.

Duties Include: 

• Attends all trainings and monthly partners meetings
• Attend Catalyst staff meetings
• Performs outreach to find students and interact with parents of teens (some weekends)
• Delivers 8 hour curriculum and follows up with students
• Supports student leadership cohort and activities
• Coordinates with the rest of the Project Rise team
• Participate in the development and implementation of our organization’s policies
• Prepare all necessary program documentation and reports in a timely manner
• Participate in all relevant fundraisers, including the annual Spring fundraiser

Youth Coach position is up to 10-15 hours a week 

• Pay: $16.50- $18.50 p/h DOE
• This position is hybrid. Curriculum is delivered both via Zoom and in person.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, outgoing self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
• Enjoys working with urban youth and the local community, especially among underserved communities.
• Reliable transportation and car insurance
• Punctual and professional, able to work with many different kind of stakeholders. ? Supportive of our work in and with the local faith community
• Ability to be organized and efficient with time, ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve ? Great communication skills - ability to talk with youth and parents effectively
• Maintains ethical standards and professional boundaries
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Proficient in Google Suites

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

Two years minimum in college
