Senior Pastor - Castle Rock Christian Church

Castle Rock Christian Church, Washington is prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our multigenerational congregation. The church is searching for a candidate who loves Christ and His Church. Someone committed to proclaim the Word of God from the pulpit, while also serving as a strong leader, and communicator of the Gospel within our congregation and our community.

Castle Rock Christian Church is a community church blessed to faithfully serve God in our small community for the past 170 years and connected to the group of independent Christian Churches committed to the ideals of the restoration movement.  The mission is centered on the principles outlined in Acts 2:42-47 (Scripture, Prayer, Discipleship, and Fellowship).

The successful candidate will be called upon to bring vision and leadership for our church while also embracing our established core mission. This will be accomplished by effectively spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, guiding our church in continual spiritual growth, and providing pastoral care to the congregation and our community with the love of Christ.

Requirements:

Þ    Ordination with a Master of Divinity degree is preferred; however, consideration will be given to those who possess a bachelor’s degree and/or attended seminary from an accredited institution.

Þ    Five years pastoral experience is preferred but consideration will be given to those with at least three years of experience. (may include positions as a pastor or associate).

Þ    In your cover letter include a Statement of Faith outlining your personal experience as a Christian and core beliefs

Þ    Also in your cover letter respond to the following short essay questions in 3-5 sentences

1.      Who is Jesus?

2.      What is the nature of man apart from Christ?

3.      What does the authority of Scripture mean to you?
