Clinician I,II, III at Casa Pacifica

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor/Lead, is responsible for providing and implementing the clinical therapy component of the overall treatment plan. Clinicians will manage cases of assigned clients within their assigned program and carry out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it relates to ongoing clinical assessment, evaluation, and progress of the youth within Casa Pacifica.

$7500 Sign-On Bonus!!  Paid out at 90-day, 6-months, and 1-year of service.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Assesses the clinical needs of the youth admitting to assigned program, including conducting a risk screener, safety plan, preliminary treatment plan, and a comprehensive client assessment for assigned clients.
  • Ongoing assessment of clinical needs of youth on caseload including, developing and updating treatment plans, making referrals to needed resources, and creating a discharge plan.
  • Provides clinical services such as individual, collateral, rehabilitation, parenting skills training, and case management as appropriate to the individual needs of the youth.
  • Works collaboratively with the Admissions team to coordinate the admissions/intake process and ensure timely completion of required intake documents, including consents, risk screeners, and clinical assessments.
  • Provides 8 2-hour time slots a month to the Admissions team.
  • Collaborates with youth development specialists, education staff, health clinic staff, parent partners, youth advocates, families, and youth to provide comprehensive clinical care for the youth and to ensure program consistency and continuity throughout the day.
  • Utilizes evidenced-based practices that are appropriate to meet the clinical needs of the youth and family.
  • Acts as liaison with placement agencies and community services and works closely with mental health and child protective services, as well as law enforcement agencies, schools, employers, health and welfare, and recreation agencies to provide coordinated care.
  • Confers with the Director of Education/teaching staff regarding the behavioral or learning problems of youth and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences.
  • Confers with parents regarding school and facility activities, policies, and procedures as needed and appropriate.
  • Serves as the leader of a youth/family treatment team. In conjunction with the team, develops and implements individual clinical treatment plans and assures the integration of the clinical component within the milieu using a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Responsible for maintaining an organized and up-to-date clinical chart according to DMH guidelines. Prepares regular progress reports on each client; prepares additional correspondence related to caseload as required. Documents progress notes on electronic health records.
  • Aids authorities to plan for the discharge arrangements of the child.
  • Utilizes community resources in providing services for youth.
  • Assists youth transitioning into the community and links them to appropriate community resources, including referrals for transition-aged youth to Transitional *Youth Services program, substance abuse programs, Wraparound, and Therapeutic Behavior Services, when appropriate.
  • Assists in program development and staff training to ensure the milieu is therapeutic.
  • Attends outside training events and conferences as requested.
  • Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations to include Title 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations, and clients.
  • May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
