Student Ministries Director
Carmel Presbyterian Church, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA
Carmel Presbyterian Church is seeking a full-time Student Ministries Director to lead Middle School, High School and College ministries. 3. Effective Communication: Excellent communication and social skills. Able to share vision and excitement for the ministry with the congregation.
4. Team Builder: Build and maintain effective teams and develop leaders and servants in each team.
5. Organizational/Administrative Skills: Ability to manage and complete organizational and administrative tasks (Event planning, scheduling, managing volunteers, etc.) integral to Student Ministries.
6. ECO Values (desirable): Knowledge of ECO polity/governance/best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide staff level leadership for Student Ministries
1. Help 6th- 12th grade and college age students find and follow Jesus. Teach and mentor with the goal of ever greater maturity as a believer.
2. Lead middle school, high school, college programs (weekly meetings, small groups, events, outreach and service).
3. Develop and lead middle school and high school camps and retreats.
4. Outreach to Middle School/High School/College communities.
5. Disciple students, families, and parents.
6. Provide frequent and timely ministry updates to parents.
7. Developing student-led Sunday.
8. Supervise and coach student ministry staff.
9. Supervise and coach interns (year-long or summer interns).
Position Reporting: The Student Ministries Director will report to the Transitional Pastor/Head of Staff.
