About the job
One of the highest priorities of this role is to recruit, develop and lead a full, effective volunteer team for the Student ministry at both campuses.
The Student’s Pastor must have the communication skills necessary to stand in front of the church and volunteers to cast vision, recruit and inspire in meaningful, engaging ways. Of course, this person will also need to teach Scriptural truth to Students in fun and developmentally appropriate ways. The Student’s Pastor will need to resource parents to support them as they disciple their teens by teaching and modeling faith in their homes.
Christ-Centered Discipleship – The most important thing about you is your discipleship to Jesus. Period.
Develop and implement a plan for Capital student’s ministry services, groups, and integration into the broader church.
What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:
Previous pastoral leadership experience with ministry oversight in Student’s Ministry.
Highly relational with excellent people skills, orientation, passion for serving and empowering others, and building strong teams.
Self-starter and disciplined to work with significant autonomy.
Adaptable to changes in the organization as well as responsibilities.
Strategic Planning – Leading requires a never-ceasing focus on the big picture of our vision.
People Prioritization – Great systems serve people, but people always matter more than policies and procedures.
Develop and implement a plan for ongoing parent discipleship, equipping, and encouragement.
