About the job
The Clean Transportation Fellow will work to advance California Interfaith Power & Light's commitment to transportation electrification, specifically doing presentations, tabling and training on electric vehicle (EV) rebates.
Responsibilities:
--Train congregational volunteers to make presentations on EVs and clean transportation
--Organize educational events and presentations on rebates and benefits of EVs
--Attend virtual and in-person events and table at community fairs and faith congregations
--Represent CIPL and build relationships with diverse congregations and faith leaders
--Meet monthly with Center of Sustainable Energy staff
--Submit monthly reports on events and education
--Do social media postings related to EVs and rebates/incentives
Qualifications:
--B.A. or B.S. in-progress a plus but not required
--Strong communication skills, including written and oral
--Good organizing and time management skills
--Knowledge of Excel and Word --Familiarity with event coordination and presentations, including on Zoom
--Commitment to environmental sustainability and climate justice
--Experience working with faith communities helpful
Location: Remote and in-person in SCE territory and other areas of Southern California
