Position: Media Technical Coordinator
Pay: $125 per event to begin ($42/3 Hours)
Frequency: Typically once per week (SUN 8AM-11AM or 10:30AM-12:30PM) with opportunities for
additional events/services throughout the year (Ash Weds, Good Friday, etc.). We have two services
each Sunday, we are looking to fill this position for one service pending availability.
Qualifications: A general level of technical proficiency, being able to navigate Mac OS and some basic
knowledge of video production. Attention to detail and a drive to improve processes is highly valued.
This is a mix of technical and social skills - understanding our system, which we will train you fully
on, and working well with a small team. We don’t value perfection as much as reliability, timeliness, and
consistency.
Duties: Oversee video recording/live streaming services, manage our small team of volunteers,
training and onboarding new members.
We will expect you to oversee the following:
? Making sure recording equipment is set up/functioning properly prior to shoot times
? Understanding and operating recording & livestream software during shoots
? We use the SlingStudio system, two black magic pocket 4K cameras, in connection with
YouTube Livestream.
? We use ProPresenter 7 for livestream slides and content
? Directing camera volunteers to get shots and angles when applicable during the service
livestreams.
? Make sure equipment is put away properly, batteries, etc. on charge when necessary.
? Overseeing, coordinating, and training volunteers in any/all of the above on Sundays
This position can be as hands on or off as determined by the individual and utilization of volunteers - so
long as the above criteria is met. The desire is that the individual in this position will also be utilizing
and training volunteers to the utmost. The current overseeing BHPC staff member will train you and
continue to be your supervisor.
