Who are we:
Arise Church is a multi-generational, family-oriented church that conducts services in Cantonese and English. Currently, we have around 30 youths. The vision of Arise is to cultivate a Spiritual, Missional, Authentic, and Transforming community in Christ through love.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Youth Pastor/Director in our church. An ideal candidate will have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, be familiar with Asian American cultures, and demonstrate a genuine interest in serving youth and teenagers. The Youth

Pastor/Director will be responsible for various aspects of youth ministry, including worship services, mentoring youth, providing counseling, and facilitating spiritual growth.

Expectations/Responsibilities

• Understand youth culture, communicate well with them, and disciple them in their spiritual growth
• Lead and train new youth leaders (e.g. worship team)
• Develop youth Sunday service and provide Biblical teachings to the youth congregation in the sermon
• Organize and lead weekly youth fellowship
• Collaborate with the English and Chinese ministry pastors and participate in pastoral, and staff planning meetings
• Work with the youth ministry team to coordinate youth programs and events
• Develop student outreach ministry

Requirements

• A committed Christian with a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Familiarity with and adherence to the EFCA (Evangelical Free Church of America) statement of faith and core values
• Undergraduate or Master’s degree from a seminary or Bible college
• 3 to 5 years of ministry experience (some experience in youth ministry preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and relate to youth. (Knowing Chinese is a plus)
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience, and have a heart for serving and ministering to youth
