Antioch Baptist Church of Taylorsville, NC has a rich and blessed history since the church’s founding in 1826. We are dedicated to sharing the light and teachings of Jesus Christ with our community and, through the miracles of modern technology, with anyone who cares to join our worship services online. We seek a senior pastor to work together with our body of believers in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Antioch is a moderate Christian church that works hard to minister to the needs of those in our community, regardless of where they may be in their personal journey towards Jesus. Our campus includes a dedicated sanctuary, administrative office facilities, large educational facilities, and a dedicated fellowship hall, with each of 3 separate buildings finished with an ornate rock exterior. We are a mission-minded fellowship, with deacons and lay ministries focused on helping those in need of physical or spiritual support. We ordain both men and women as deacons and support placing people in the leadership positions to which they are best suited, regardless of gender. We support the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963.

We seek a pastor with at least five years of experience, and well-qualified candidates should preferably have a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary. The right pastor for Antioch will prepare messages for the congregation as led by the Holy Spirit and in accordance with the gospels of Christ. The best candidate will have a proven track record of creating educational curricula and guiding members to continue their journey in exploring and sharing Christ’s love. The best candidate will also be dedicated to pastoral care, working diligently to build close ties to the community and to shepherd the flock through difficult life passages. The right pastor for Antioch will also be capable of working effectively with paid staff, volunteer workers, and church committees and will work within budgetary guidelines as established by the church’s Stewardship Finance Committee.
