Location: Manhasset, NY
Commitment: Part-Time (Friday – Sunday)
Compensation: $2,300 – $2,600 / Month (Commensurate with experience and education)
Schedule: Friday & Saturday (Afternoon to Evening), Sunday (Morning to Late Afternoon)

Role

NY Pillar Church is launching as a partnership between the KC (Korean Congregation) and EC (English Congregation) to fulfill the Great Commission. We are seeking a Youth Pastor to lead our 6th–12th grade students. The Youth Pastor will work in close collaboration with the English Congregation (EC) Lead Pastor.

Vision

Our vision is to produce and train disciples who graduate high school as faithful, resilient believers. Whether they stay local at NY Pillar or move away for college and career, they must be equipped with the faith and Biblical foundation to continue their faith journey in any local church body.

Core Responsibilities

• Weekly Worship & Fellowship: Prepare and lead Friday Night Youth Gatherings and Sunday Youth Worship.

• Discipleship & Training: Coordinate Sunday Small Groups and lead weekly briefings with Youth Teachers and the Youth Team Lead.

• Staff Collaboration: Participate in the weekly All-Staff meeting to ensure alignment with the church’s broader vision.

• Major Events: Prepare, coordinate, and lead the annual Youth Retreat and participate in significant church-wide bilingual events.

Qualifications & Character

• Self-Directed Leadership: We are looking for an independent "self-starter.” You should be able to manage—or grow with guidance to manage—the daily operations and creative direction of the youth ministry without requiring constant supervision or micro-management.

• Education: Bachelor’s in Theology, Bible College degree, or current enrollment in an M.Div/Th.M program.

• Competency: Professional fluency in English; ability to navigate a bilingual/multigenerational Korean-American church context is a plus.

• Status: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Conviction: We are looking for someone who has a heart for the next generation—focused on growing disciples and to be a model and mentor, not just someone who plans gatherings to keep students occupied at church.
